Caldwell Family Farm  | Turner, ME

The Caldwell family, from Turner, are some of our oldest friends, and we are just endlessly proud to be able to present their beef in our markets. In their fields and barns, they do everything right, and care for their animals the way most of us shower love on our children.

Gracie’s Garden  |  Standish, ME

One of the coolest things about Gracie’s Garden is that they’re a sort of aggregator, a compiler of Maine farm culture: The vegetables they use to produce their traditionally lacto-fermented foods (no vinegar!) come from organic farms all over the state. They use ceramic crocks to small-batch-ferment amazing sauerkraut, pickles, kimchi, carrots, beets and more. It’s all rather addictive on the plate (and in the sandwiches and burritos), and of course packed with beneficial enzymes, probiotics, vitamins and digestive turbo power.

Burnt Meadow Nursery  |  Brownfield, ME

Blueberries only come around for a short time each season, and when they do there’s nothing better than Burnt Meadow’s low-bush beauties. Burnt Meadow hand-rakes their MOFGA-certified berries, uses controlled burns for pest and weed control in their blueberry barrens, and plants that are considered weeds in the blueberry bushes are put to good use elsewhere in the nursery.
