Paula’s Tea Cakes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- ½ cup powdered sugar (plus extra for rolling)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup walnuts, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Set oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix until well-blended and creamy.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Stir in the flour, walnuts, and salt until the mixture holds together when pinched.

- Roll in Powdered Sugar: Let the cookies cool slightly, then roll them in powdered sugar. Allow the cookies to cool completely and roll them in powdered sugar again for a beautiful, sweet coating.
- Store: Place in a closed container. For best flavor and texture, allow cookies to rest overnight.
