Ringing in the New Year: Sparkling Wines We’re Loving Right Now
The quick turn from Hanukkah and Christmas straight into New Year’s can leave anyone’s head spinning. That’s why we’ve spent the past few weeks getting ahead—tasting, talking, and planning—so that as we say goodbye to 2025, we’re ready to ring in the new year with the foods and bubbles we’ve loved most this past year.
Our market managers recently sat down with our wine team to taste through their favorite sparkling bottles for the season. Some are longtime Rosemont staples, others are newer finds, but all are wines we’re genuinely excited to share. The best experience is always to come into the market and chat with us in person, but below are a few highlights to help get you started.
Champagne We Reach for First
R. Dumont Champagne
Champagne, France
R. Dumont is a classic example of grower Champagne—a term used for wines from the Champagne region that are grown, made, and bottled by the same family. This stands in contrast to large Champagne houses, which often blend grapes sourced from dozens (or even hundreds) of different vineyards.
Grower Champagne offers a more direct expression of place and producer, and often delivers incredible value. That’s why this holiday season, this is the bottle we’re popping most often. It drinks far above its price tag and never feels out of place at a celebration.
José Michel Special Club Champagne
Moussy, Champagne, France
This is the Champagne our team gets most excited about every year. Rich and expressive, with notes of toasted bread, hazelnut, and ripe yellow fruit, it’s a true celebration bottle—one to save for midnight or a milestone moment.
Quality Sparkling for Less
Great bubbles don’t have to come from Champagne. These are some of our favorite sparkling wines for popping more casually—and more often.

Acinum Prosecco
Veneto, Italy
Our #1 selling wine in December. Crisp, smooth, and endlessly drinkable.
Sommariva Prosecco Superiore DOCG
Veneto, Italy
Elegant, aromatic, and worlds apart from mass-produced Prosecco.
Château Martinolles Blanquette de Limoux
Languedoc, France
Traditional-method sparkling with bright fruit and incredible value.
Domaine Schoffit Crémant d’Alsace
Alsace, France
A world-class sparkling wine and longtime staff favorite.
Moretto Lambrusco Grasparossa
Emilia-Romagna, Italy
Dry, refreshing, and wildly food-friendly. Best served cold.
Domaine Achard-Vincent Clairette Tradition
France
Floral, lightly sweet, and beautifully balanced with bright acidity.
While supplies last. Selection may vary by market.
Whether you’re planning a big countdown or keeping things low-key at home, stop by your local Rosemont and ask our wine team—we love talking bubbles. Here’s to closing out 2025 and welcoming the year ahead. Cheers.
