Portland, Maine: A "foodie" destination.
Rosemont Market and Bakery was born 18 years ago in the seaside city of Portland, Maine. We began as one local market serving our community in the Rosemont neighborhood of Portland. As the city grew in size and reputation, so did we. Our beloved home town began receiving accolades and recognition from some of the nations most respected media outlets. We witnessed tourists and transplants alike flock to the area to eat, drink and explore the food scene in our well-loved coastal community.
With the rise of Maine’s foodie community, the demand for increased access to Maine grown and made products expanded. Through our markets, Rosemont was well-positioned as a connecting link between Maine farmers and suppliers to the people in our area. This became the catalyst for our expansion throughout the Greater Portland region.
Today, Rosemont consists of seven local markets with one store each in Yarmouth, Falmouth, Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth, and three shops in Portland: East End, West End, and our flagship location on Brighton Avenue. Each of our locations works to embody our slogan, “good food from people you know”. We are proud to provide access to good, local food to both the people who live in our communities, and those visiting us from away.
